Mainely Pavement Maintenance is a proven leader in the field of road-surface preservation in Southern Maine. Since 2013, we’ve completed projects for Hannaford, Sheraton, True Value, and Burger King, not to mention dozens of local business, municipalities and private properties. After joining forces with Coastal Road Repair in 2017, we decided to shift our focus more to the residential sector.
Based in Windham, just 15 minutes from downtown Portland, MPM’s team of paving contractors take pride in providing quality workmanship, on-demand responsiveness and sterling customer service. From the first budget estimate to project completion, we work closely with our clients to assure the end result is one they can be proud of. For us, proposals are more than just estimates. SERVICES
CRACKSEALING:
Cracking in asphalt is inevitable. Left untreated, widening cracks and secondary cracking (known as “alligator cracking”) eventually lead to potholes, which in turn can cause costly repairs—not to mention potential liabilities.
Proper cracksealing can help guard against the deterioration and eventual failure of pavement. The process involves filling a crack in the pavement to prevent water and debris (such as dirt, sand or vegetation) from infiltrating the structure and causing further damage.
Proper treatment involves routing and/or cleaning the crack with pressurized air to remove debris and create a reservoir to receive the sealant. MPM combines a hot-applied rubberized joint sealant with a light aggregate coat, improving adhesion of the rubberized sealant to the pavement surface.
SEALCOATING:
Think of sealcoating as preventative maintenance. Best suited for distress-free or moderately distressed areas, sealcoating creates a new layer that improves traction while protecting and waterproofing the surface. By making it more difficult for water to enter the base material, sealcoating can also prevent freeze and thaw damage.
